NEA has excellent skills and experience in guiding and advising companies (ranging from established conglomerates to start-ups) seeking to undertake diverse transactions on Nigerian and international capital and money markets (and trading floors) leading them through all regulatory and compliance procedures.
Key members of NEA were trained in a law firm which was not only the oldest in Nigeria but structured, handled and advised on the first scheme of arrangement and the first public issue of shares in the first securities discount house in Nigeria. NEA is still extremely active and relevant in this field as solicitors to Dufil Prima Foods Plc. in its recent offering of a N40 billion naira Bond Issue. NEA therefore has the added advantage of an extensive precedent base. The foregoing notwithstanding, NEA’s objective is to remain innovative and versatile.
In keeping with this spirit, members of the team regularly participate in and advise on novel schemes and instruments.
NEA has also written extensively for organizations seeking to extend to Nigeria some of the services that are a necessary part of international capital and money markets. NEA is also duly registered as a Capital Market Consultant with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). For historical list of capital market transactions, please see transaction list
