The roots of the law firm, Nnenna Ejekam Associates, lie in Irving and Bonnar established 1917, the oldest law firm in Nigeria (and probably West Africa). NEA’s principal partner, Chief Mrs. Nnenna U. Ejekam, was groomed by the former senior partner of Irving and Bonnar, Mr. Angus Maclead Ferguson CBE, to form the vanguard of a new generation of Partners. After Mr. Ferguson’s demise, circumstances compelled NUE to rise to the challenges of establishing a new law firm, NNENNA EJEKAM ASSOCIATES (NEA) in 1994, structured on similar lines and traditions as Irving and Bonnar.
